Messiah Sing

A community tradition since 1995, the annual Messiah Sing is a collaboration between the Michigan Festival of Sacred Music and First Congregational United Church of Christ.

The Sing features a chamber orchestra made up of professional musicians from the Kalamazoo area, along with soloists Corlyn Longer-Schreck (soprano), Tami Snyder-Knutson (mezzo soprano), Howard Tejchma (tenor), and Joseph Schreck (bass). Director of Music Ministries of First Congregational United Church of Christ Michael Palmer will be conducting.

Portions of George Frideric Handel’s Messiah will be sung by those who wish to participate. For those who wish to listen only, you are welcome and encouraged to join us!
